The MCAF awarded MCAF Life Memberships at its 2008 Annual General Meeting. Life Membership recipients were Cecilia Tai, Dr. Abe Ghanem, Dexter Noel, president of the MCAF, Dr. Constantine Passaris and Ashraf Ghanem. Life Memberships were also awarded to Muhammad Arif, Norman Laverty and America Laverty.
The MCAF honoured Betty Lee with the MCAF Award of Excellence in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the Multicultural community.

Location: MCAF, 123 York StreetMore information. In honour of Black History Month, the Multicultural Association of Fredericton Inc. (MCAF) and the New Brunswick African Association Inc. (NBAA) will organize a series of Black History Month activities throughout the month of February.
The activities include:
- Film series (Thursday evenings, 7pm, UNB Public Library)
- Public Lectures (Feb 15, 7-9pm, STU)
- Celebration (Feb. 18, 1-3pm, STU)
- Black History Month Book Displays at Fredericton Public Library and Westminister Books
