Overview

March 21st United Nations “International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination”

MCAF hosts a Multicultural Festival in March each year to honour this day.

School children are invited to participate in an Anti-Racism Art Challenge and to express their opinions and objections to racism through artwork. The entries are displayed at the Multicultural Festival and wining entries are published in the annual Youth Speak publication.

MCAF tours schools to conduct Anti-Racism Education presentations.

Canada Day

MCAF invites the immigrant community to join in celebrating Canada Day and showcase their national dress, flags and music in the Canada Day parade.

Cultural Competency Training

MCAF conducts workshops for workplaces and community organizations to enhance their understanding of the value of a culturally diverse team, to explore ideas about different styles of communication and much more.


Health and Well-Being for Immigrant Women

MCAF coordinates this program to connect immigrant women with local organizations serving women, and works with these organizations to enhance their cultural competency and to facilitate inclusive programming.

The Health and Wellbeing for Immigrant Women in Fredericton Project is funded by Status of Women Canada.
