MCAF offers support to newcomers in obtaining meaningful employment through our Newcomer Employment Services (NES) program. This service is available to newcomers to Canada seeking employment and further studies in Fredericton and the surrounding area. MCAF counsellors help international students and their spouses find meaningful employment in New Brunswick’s labour force through a program called International Students and Spouses Employment Services (ISSES). ISSES offers FREE employment services for all international students and their spouses attending the University of New Brunswick, St. Thomas University, the New Brunswick Community College, or the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in Fredericton. Funded by the Government of Canada and the Province of New Brunswick through the Canada/New Brunswick Labour Market Development Agreement The New Brunswick Enhanced Language Training Program (NBELT) offers 16 weeks of specialized language training, computer instruction and employment preparation to help Newcomers to Canada access work opportunities commensurate with their skills and background.
